Based on the finding that only 2.2% of venture capital investments in the global venture ecosystem are given to women founders, Yıldız Ventures commits to realize 10% of its portfolio investments for women entrepreneurs within 24 months. In this direction, the same investment criteria will be applied to women and men entrepreneurs without prejudice and as many women founders as possible will be included in the investment processes. The commitment also aims to provide constructive feedback without sexist rhetoric when it is decided not to invest in any related initiatives founded by women. In this context, in October 2021, Yıldız Ventures became one of the first supporters of the 100 Million USD campaign for Women Entrepreneurs in Türkiye and Neighboring Countries, launched in collaboration with the social enterprise platform Arya Women's Investment Platform, BEYOND THE BILLION™ (created by the Founders of TheBillionDollarFundforWomen™). The campaign aims to be part of a long-term strategy to create sustainable and inclusive economies that will empower women economically and provide access to financing needed to scale up supportable businesses founded by women. With this campaign, studies will be carried out to support more women entrepreneurs in Türkiye and the region until the end of 2023.
