pladis established a women’s network in the Harlesden London, manufacturing location in 2020 to understand the barriers faced by women in seeking career progression within these traditionally men dominated roles in manufacturing, and put in place strategies to overcome these challenges. As a result of this programme 50% of the first Harlesden cohort have secured promotion. In 2021 this successful programme has been expanded to cover an additional 4 operational locations in the UK, providing women colleaguesat across the UK with access to personal support and tailored development.
