During the recent 5th edition of the event "Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: A Journey Full of Collaboration and Success," which unfolded in Bilbao on the 10th and 11th of October, Begüm Mutuş, Yıldız Holding Women's Platform Ambassador, shared insights into the company's innovative initiatives and global partnerships alongside the Women's Platform. She also touched upon the significant impact studies carried out to empower women entrepreneurs.
Notably, Mutuş highlighted the accomplishments of the 'Women Stars of Agriculture' project, a collaborative endeavor launched in 2022 with the collaboration of SuperFresh, Yıldız Holding Women's Platform, and the valuable support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The project's core objective is to empower women in the realm of business and within society as a whole.
In this project, which set out with the goal of increasing the number of supported female farmers by 100% in three years, the target of 30 female farmers was achieved within just one year. The number of female farmers, which was 15 in 2022, was increased to 37 in 2023, marking a remarkable 146% increase. Since the commencement of the project, 1,760 tons of products have been harvested, and it is expected to reach 4,950 tons by the end of the year.
