So, What Are These Activities?

Diversity and Inclusion Program in Shopping

pladis is the official and the main sponsor, events are organized, and diversity is provided in order to share and inspire those in the sector on inclusion.

I'm In SOK

With this project, Sok Marketler gives women the opportunity to produce and enables them to participate in the economy. Project allows housewives to earn income, by selling handmade cloth bags which are produced by women. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to produce and sell products such as wicker baskets, wooden spoons, handmade soaps, nets, candles, and knitting products.

Supporting Athletes

pladis, which provides support to support the athletes in Turkey and stands by them effectively in every field, became the main sponsor of the Women's National Teams with the agreement signed with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) in 2021. In this 5-year agreement, one of the priorities is to ensure women's participation and empowerment in society, business life, sports, and every field.

pladis, which empowers women in business life and in all areas of society, continues its activities and supports abroad with projects such as more women in sales and executive leadership teams, supporting girls in their career journey, and discovering their talents.

Women's Empowerment Abroad

Under the banner of Being Me, our Employee Resource Groups (ERG) extend to cover a number of important topics.  These ERGs aim to empower, inform and inspire colleagues.  Being She in the UK&I is one such example and was established to: 

  • Establish: Improve the Support & Remove the Barriers for our Female Colleagues
  • Inform: Break the Biases & Remove Stigmas Facing Female Colleagues
  • Inspire: Share Stories & Inspiration to Empower our Female Colleagues

GODIVA, Lady Through the Godiva Initiative, works for women's empowerment and equality at work around the world. It also rewards the achievements of organizations that serve the purpose of gender equality and carry out work on this issue. In this context, financial donations are made to each institution to help them continue their inspiring and sustainable work. Which organizations will be helped are determined by the votes of GODIVA employees.

Hot Bread Kitchen (USA)

Hot Bread Kitchen aims to create economic opportunities in the food industry to achieve gender equality and eliminate racial discrimination. In line with these goals, it provides equal opportunity by increasing the skills of talented women and small businesses, together with the financial support of the Lady GODIVA Initiative.

Up With Women (Canada)

up with Women is a charitable organization dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk women build sustainable and lucrative careers and earn a steady income. Up, which develops its programs with the support of the Lady GODIVA Initiative. with Women reached more people.

In addition to these, we have implemented the #SheDIDIT program in Belgium, China in China Against the Women's Development Foundation, and the AVA in the UK violence and Supporting the Abuse institution, GODIVA aims to empower women and support them in all areas of life with these projects.

Looking at the results of the projects supported and executed throughout the year, there are stronger women and smiling faces. In 2021, the rate of female employees and the rate of promoted female employees seem to have gained great momentum. We see that when the equality of opportunity is provided, it sheds light on society and business life to a great extent. Yildiz Holding, which set out to ensure that women take an equal place and have a voice in the sector, will continue to work in the light of smiling faces and a better society in its next step.
